You will have to organise and pay for your own accommodation.

St Leo’s College at the UQ St Lucia campus has a limited number of casual accommodation available. For more information:

http://www.stleos.uq.edu.au/casual-accommodation.html

For making a reservation, please complete a Room Reservation Form and email the form to Jocelyn Forsyth (stay@stleos.uq.edu.au) with the subject “2014 Winter School in Mathematical & Computational Biology (7-11 July 2014) — accommodation request”.

As the State of Origin Football is also being held in the same week of the Winter School, accommodation at UQ or nearby suburb would fill up very soon. You may have difficulty to find accommodation close to St Lucia Campus. Other accommodation option would be where there is public transport to UQ. For example:

Bus # 29  – Wooloongabba to UQ
Bus #139 – Sunnybank Hills to UQ
Bus #169 – Eight Mile Plains to UQ
Bus #209 – Carindale to UQ

Or, where there are trains or buses going to Brisbane city, and then take a bus from the city to UQ. For public transport information, please visit Translink.

Griffith University also has temporary accommodation for a limited number of students during the week of the Winter School. For more information and details:
